Eagle's Nest Update

Eagle's Nest is NOT in Berchtesgaden, as I put in the last update. It's in Obersalzberg, not far away. The Teahouse was used by Hitler only three times, and built by Martin Bormann, who intended it as a 50th birthday gift for Hitler. Today it's the site of a restaurant called "Kehlsteinhaus". Where Hitler actually stayed was down in the town of Obersalzberg; that's where his HQ was, including a complex of bunkers and underground tunnels connecting all of the important Nazi party buildings in the town. http://www.eaglesnest-tours.com/ runs a 4-hour tour of the whole thing. The tours start at 1:15 each day, so this looks like it will alter any plans for getting to Furth that night. About a 3 hour drive up to Furth from Obersalzburg.
