We left Ruhpolding this moring, drove to a small village in Lichtenstein for our obligatory "beer in that country" and lunch. Then steadily made our way across Switzerland to Zurich, with some more beautiful mountains on the way. Biotch found us restaurants and gas stations. Dropped the rent car off at the airport, caught a train to central Zurich, about 20 minutes away. Then, as a final contribution to the trip, Biotch helped us find our way on foot from the train station to the hotel.
We're about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Good thing, because in the morning we catch a 7:00 a.m. train to Paris, have half a day there before starting home Friday. Tonight we'll have an outrageously expensive Swiss meal of some sort....beers are $7 per glass....and just try to get out of here in the morning without spending any more than we have to!
Random Thoughts:
- I forgot about the toilet paper here...uh...that would be sand paper
- Traffic lights....red....yellow....green......What the...?
- Gas is 1.40 euro per LITER.
