We're gathering steam....

Wow, it's been a looooong time. May was not a good month for having time to do this. Whatever. Enough whining.

• Hostels/hotels now reserved in Rhupolding, Furth, Zurich, and Paris.
• Have rental car reserved through Gemut.com
• Did a bunch more research, will protect the car with Mastercard, decline CDW. Picking up and returning to airport.
• We're going to "make a cameo" in Budapest on the way to Kecskemet, with the goal of spending a few more hours in Bled and Venice.
• Got all maps except northern Italy
• Have downloaded the European software onto Mary Kay's new Garmin Zumi 660. Trusting that it works when we get there.
• We'll go ahead and pick up Paris Metro tickets there. Easy from a machine
• Gotta figure out a few things:
• Where to stay in Venice. Crowds predicate arrangements now.
• Where to park while visiting Venice. Frommer's says to park out yonder and walk Venice
• Will have time for probably only one thing in Paris afternoon of July 8. Probably should decide between the Catacombs and Invalides, like that.  
• We have only one Wed. evening before MK and I take off on the bikes, so we better have our ducks in a row by next Wed. Need also to make a timeline thingy, see what details we're missing.
