We figured out there ain't no cheap way to get to Paris from Zurich.Seems kind of curious, since they're not really that far apart, and are two major European cities! Looks like train tickets are around $300, and cheapest flights are about $200. Damn. Sure shoots holes in the theory of uber-cheap air travel on discount airlines. Also, Rob's friend Ray, who is a walking encyclopedia of travel knowledge, put us on to a car rental place in Seattle; Rob's getting a quote from there, I'm going to get a quote from AAA. And it was a bonus week....we got to Opal's two nights!
Also got in my four things from Rick Steves: 1. Updated Eastern Europe book. 2. Michelin map of Poland. 3. Michelin Map of Slovenia, croatio, etc. 4. Michelin Map of Slovakia.
